Two different things bring people here, and the law treats them differently. Pick the one that applies to you.
Who we are. Maspecta (Maspecta.ai) decides how and why the personal data described below is used, which makes us the controller of it. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. Masa Toyota is the person responsible, at masa@maspecta.ai.
We do not set cookies. This site runs no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how this site is used. It does not use cookies and does not store or read anything on your device. It does not identify you, and it cannot follow you across other websites.
For each page view it records the time, the page address, the page you arrived from, filtered query parameters, your approximate location (country, region and city), and your browser, operating system and device type. Visits are grouped using a hash derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours.
This data is processed by Vercel Inc., who also host this site.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving this website.
If you ask us for a free banner ad, you give us your name, your company email address and your company website. You also tell us whether you want to hear from us about anything else afterwards.
We use your website to make the ad, and your email address to send it to you. That is the whole purpose.
How the ad is made. We read the public pages of the website you gave us. The text on those pages goes to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the words and the design of the ad. A short description of what your business does — never your name or email address — goes to Higgsfield, which generates the moving background. We look your company up on Companies House, a public register, to check the request is genuine. A person at Maspecta reviews the finished ad in Slack before anything is sent. Your name and email address are shown there and nowhere else.
Where the finished ad lives. The ad itself contains none of your personal details. We store it with Cloudflare at a web address that cannot be guessed, so you can download it from the email we send you. That email comes from our Google Workspace account.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests, in making and sending you the thing you asked us for.
The marketing box is separate, and starts unticked. If you leave it unticked we use your details only to make and send the ad, and nothing else. If you tick it, your consent is recorded, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link on anything we send you.
What we store. The details above, the date and time you sent them, and which version of the form you filled in, so we can show what you were told and what you agreed to. We do not store your IP address.
Where it is stored. Cloudflare R2, a private storage bucket that is not readable from the web. Cloudflare acts on our instructions and may not use your details for anything else.
How long we keep it. Two years from our last contact with you. If you tell us to stop, we keep only enough to make sure we do not contact you again.
If you book a call, you do that through Cal.com, which runs our booking page. You give them your name, your email address, a time, and anything you choose to write in the notes. They pass it to us. Cal.com is a United States company acting on our instructions.
If you email us, we have whatever you put in the email.
What we do with it. Arrange and hold the meeting, prepare for it, and follow up afterwards. If we end up working together it becomes part of our ordinary business records. If we do not, it is an enquiry we did not take further.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who asked to speak to us. If we go on to send you marketing afterwards we will say so and you can stop it at any time.
How long we keep it. Two years from our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case our normal business and tax records apply.
Who else sees it. Cal.com, which runs the booking. ClickUp, where we keep our records. Slack, which tells us you have been in touch. BetterProposals, if we send you a proposal. Cloudflare, which stores free banner ad requests and the finished ads. Anthropic and Higgsfield, which help make a free banner ad, as described above. Google, whose Workspace we send email from. Vercel, which hosts this site and provides the analytics described above. All of them act on our instructions and none of them may use your details for anything else.
Who we are. Maspecta (Maspecta.ai) decides how and why the personal data described here is used, which makes us the controller of it. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. You can reach us at masa@maspecta.ai.
Where we got your details. We did not get them from you, and we did not guess your email address. Depending on who you are, they came from one or more of:
What we hold. Your name; your job title, and where it comes from the FCA Register, the senior management function you hold and when you took it up; your business email address; and your employer's name, website, and registration numbers. Where a public profile is available we may hold a short professional summary of it. We hold no home address, no personal email, no telephone number, and nothing that counts as special category data.
Why we contact you. To offer a service about whether your organisation's customer-facing writing is understood by the people who read it. We contact you at work, about your work.
Our lawful basis. Legitimate interests — ours in offering a service we think is relevant to your role, weighed against your right not to be bothered. We have written that assessment down and will send you a copy if you ask.
Who else sees it. Only suppliers acting on our instructions, under contract:
| What they do | Who |
|---|---|
| Find and check business email addresses | Findymail, ZeroBounce |
| Send the email | Instantly, Smartlead, PlusVibe |
| Help draft the message | Anthropic, OpenAI, Google |
| Make the video, where one is included | Synthesia |
| Keep our records and alert us to replies | ClickUp, Slack |
| Handle proposals and meeting bookings, if we get that far | BetterProposals, Cal.com, Typeform |
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Countries outside the UK. Some of those suppliers are abroad:
Ask us and we will tell you which arrangement applies to your data.
How long we keep it. Twelve months from the last time we contacted you, then we delete it. If you tell us to stop, we keep only enough to make sure we never contact you again.
You can:
Email masa@maspecta.ai and we will do it. Every marketing message we send also has a one-click unsubscribe.
Tell us and we will fix it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to come to us first.
